It is complex to determine the exact range for driving in purely electric mode, as the battery is constantly being charged and can be used as often as the car needs it.
In most urban driving situations, optimum efficiency is achieved through seamless transitions between EV Drive and Hybrid Drive. For driving at highway speeds, Engine Drive is used, supplemented by an on-demand peak power ‘boost’ from the electric propulsion motor for fast acceleration.
Based on the battery's capacity, just driving in electric mode, without the battery being charged at all, the range is around 2 km.
However, as this is a self-charging hybrid model, the battery is continuously being charged through regenerative braking and by the internal combustion engine. This means that this will be significantly higher.
